Description
Coordinate designated study programme delivery activities for the College, including high-quality teaching, managing operational issues, exams, and timetabling. Inspire and motivate students through outstanding teaching that challenges them to excel. Passionate about teaching English, Maths, and employability skills, with experience in Further Education, particularly in Business and Travel & Tourism. This role is available as both full-time and part-time.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
* Deliver high-quality teaching according to College standards, prepare materials, develop curricula, and assess student progress, including maintaining accurate records and liaising with parents and agencies.
* Manage day-to-day course activities, including communication, problem-solving, timetable adjustments, and coordinating work experience and assessments.
* Assist with recruitment, enrolment, and induction processes to ensure students are correctly registered and supported.
* Conduct regular meetings with students to set and review targets, support UCAS applications, and address pastoral needs.
* Monitor attendance and results, report on performance, and implement action plans as needed.
* Support English and Maths provision, including monitoring attendance and student movement.
* Participate in meetings and events, including parent evenings and college committees, and coordinate related activities.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop courses and training materials, participate in CPD, and mentor new staff.
* Handle departmental administration, including attendance records, reports, and VLE updates.
* Engage in college quality assurance processes, including verification, moderation, and SARs. Staff on SPS points 5–8 will also undertake internal verification and coordinate curriculum resources.
