QTD Ltd is a leading timber specialist supplying high-quality products to a growing customer base. We're looking for a hands-on Workshop Operative to join our team. No prior timber experience is required, just a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Full training provided.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate and manage woodworking machinery (training provided if needed)
· Assist with receiving and organising deliveries in the workshop
· Prepare and finish timber products, learning about application techniques and packaging
· Organise paperwork for customer orders and support smooth workshop operations
· Contribute to yard and workshop maintenance to keep a safe and organised environment
· Monitor and manage stock levels to support team efficiency
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
· Eager to learn and develop skills in woodworking and timber machinery
· Basic carpentry or DIY skills are an advantage, but we provide on-the-job training
· Organised and dependable, with good time-keeping skills
· Basic computer skills for workshop administration
· Forklift licence (an advantage, but not essential)
· Holds a full driving licence (own car preferred)
· Strong team player with a proactive approach
