We are working with a leading M&E contractor known for delivering complex mechanical and electrical solutions across residential, commercial, education and industrial sectors. Established for over 20 years they have developed a strong reputation for excellence, innovation, and integrity, working with many of the top contractors and developers to deliver quality, sustainable environments. Due to recent project wins they are looking to expand their commercial team with the addition of an Intermediate to Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major projects across the region. As a key member of the team, you’ll be responsible for the commercial and contractual management of medium to large-scale mechanical and electrical packages, typically ranging in value from £4m-£20m. Working closely with the project delivery teams, you’ll ensure cost control, risk management, and value engineering are all embedded from pre-construction through to final account. Typical M&E QS Responsibilities include: * Cost planning and Forecasting * Procurement of subcontractors and materials suppliers * Collaboration with clients, consultants, internal teams and subcontractors * Contract Administration * Valuations, Variations & Payments * Cost Control & Reporting from tender to final accounts * Change Management * Value Engineering * Risk Analysis and Management * Final Accounts To be considered you with have a relevant Quantity Surveying qualification, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar M&E Quantity Surveying role and a proven track record on high-value MEP projects. Excellent communication is essential along with negotiation and analytical skills. The client is willing to consider both perm and freelance candidates, with the latter having the scope to work outside of IR35. Their QS’s are typically site-based so the role will consist of a combination of site, office and home working as required
