Clinical Support Worker Cellular Pathology
We are looking for a Clinical Support Worker to join the Cellular Pathology Department at NHS Fife.
Applicants should have relevant experience working in a healthcare, laboratory, or clinical support environment, with the ability to work accurately, follow standard operating procedures, and contribute effectively to a busy laboratory service. Formal qualifications are desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
Cellular Pathology is a busy but friendly department, processing approximately:
* 21,000 biopsy requests
* 1,100 diagnostic cytology cases
* 150 post‑mortems per year
The department is UKAS accredited to ISO 15189 and plays a vital role in supporting patient diagnosis and care.
Role Overview
* Assisting with sample receipt and preparation
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
* Stock control and equipment care
* Supporting Biomedical Scientists and Associate Practitioners with routine tasks
Full training will be provided, with opportunities to develop skills within Cellular Pathology. The salary scale for this post is pro rata for part time hours.
