As a Health Care Support Worker, you’ll be part of our valued Inpatient team in Chippenham - Cedar Ward.
Please note that this role is Fixed Term Until June 2026.

Job Introduction
A great opportunity has arisen to join us as a Fixed Term Healthcare Support Worker working on Cedar Ward at Chippenham hospital.
Working as a Health Care Support Worker you will be an essential member of the multi-disciplinary team providing high standard of care for patients as well as support and comfort to family members, friends and carers.
In addition to Essential Care and Support there will be the opportunity to develop additional skills, including the monitoring and recording of Patient Observations, ECGs and Phlebotomy.

Main Responsibilities
To work within a multi-professional team in an Inpatient setting, providing support, care, and treatment to individuals, within guidelines and protocols identified for the role.
You will be expected to provide a high level of Essential Care to meet the needs of patients in the Ward. This will include helping to maintain personal hygiene, continence, mobility, nutrition and hydration.
As well as supporting recovery you will promote rehabilitation, encouraging patients to regain and maintain as much independence as possible.

* Physical skills to manually handle patients and use appropriate lifting aids.
* Undertake specific nursing/therapy skills.
