Salary: £24,000 - 75,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications: Experience in Microsoft Windows desktop and server configuration and support. Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange (On-Premises and Online) configuration and support. Experience with terminal server environments, including Citrix, AVD, and RDS. Proficiency in Active Directory configuration and administration. Strong understanding of Group Policy, general networking (CLI, Subnetting, NAT), and DNS. Experience in router configuration and support (Cisco, HP, Draytek). Familiarity with firewall configuration and support (Watchguard, SonicWALL). Knowledge of HP ProLiant and Dell PowerEdge server hardware support. Experience with VMware and Hyper-V (VCP certification is an advantage). Familiarity with storage technologies (NAS, NetApps, Synology). Strong understanding of Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Intune, and SSL Certificates. Essential skills include excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Responsibilities: As a 3rd Line IT Service Desk Engineer, my responsibilities will include: Providing expert-level technical support for complex issues escalated from lower tiers (1st and 2nd line support), including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related problems. Taking ownership of escalated incidents, ensuring resolution within agreed-upon service level agreements. Identifying root causes of recurring incidents and implementing long-term solutions to prevent their recurrence, along with documenting findings for future reference. Assessing and implementing changes to IT systems and infrastructure to ensure minimal disruption to operations. Creating and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation. Interfacing with external vendors and third-party service providers to resolve technical issues and procure necessary hardware or software. Providing training and mentoring to Junior Engineers and support staff. Expectation to be on call once a month.
