OH Medical is currently seeking a Trainee Occupational Health Advisor to join a dynamic In-House Occupational Health department, in a Full-Time Permanent role. This exciting opportunity will see you join a multidisciplinary team in Stanford-le-Hope. The Role: This role offers the ideal chance for Trainee Occupational Health Advisor to learn the full remit of providing a first-class Occupational Health Service that operates to high clinical standards. Your duties will include: Shadowing the Occupational Health Nurse and Occupational Health Advisor Deliver health surveillance and wellbeing services Carry out medicals: pre-employment, driver, safety critical, drug & alcohol testing Perform assessments: spirometry, audiometry, HAVS (Tier 1–2), skin checks, and DSE assessments Record clinical outcomes and maintain accurate OH records Communicate fitness-to-work results to HR and arrange follow-ups via the Medical Secretary when needed Work closely with the OHA/OHP on next steps for abnormal findings Ensure safe use, calibration, and upkeep of medical equipment Adhere to NMC and GDPR standards at all times Support audits and take on other reasonable duties aligned to your role and experience Undertake any necessary external training and/or qualification provided to become an OHA Required Skills: To be the successful Trainee Occupational Health Advisor candidate for this role, you'll be: An NMC Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years post registration experience. A general understanding of Occupational Health or prior experience working within an Occupational Health setting would be preferred.
