£28,762 (£14.75 per hour) plus benefits
12-month fixed term contract
Full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (including weekend rota)

We’re seeking an empathetic and commercially minded individual to join the Co-op Funeralcare team.
You do not need prior industry experience. If you possess excellent people skills and a strong commercial focus, this role could be perfect for you.
At Co-op Funeralcare, we provide compassionate support when families need it most. As a funeral director, you’ll be central to delivering this service, balancing managerial and business tasks with building trusting relationships with clients.

What you’ll do
• Ensure client needs, service levels, and KPIs are met.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, supporting and guiding them with the assistance of the wider team.
• Support funerals by conducting ceremonies, leading the team, and carrying the deceased when necessary.
• Ensure all regulated work, including funeral planning appointments, is referred to a certified colleague.
• Build and maintain relationships with the team, clients, and the community.

• Attention to detail to ensure service quality.
• Compassion, understanding, empathy, and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
• A UK manual driving licence.
