Berry Recruitment is looking for an experienced Administrator/Collections Agent.
Contract until 31st December 2025.
Hybrid work model (2 days in the office) - Monday to Friday.
MUST BE SC Cleared
Key Responsibilities
* Communicate with customers facing difficulties in repaying their debts, understanding their personal circumstances through income & expenditure assessments.
* Maintain professionalism while showing compassion and empathy.
* Negotiate and challenge customers appropriately to ensure debt repayment within a reasonable timeframe.
* Identify vulnerable customers and those with protected characteristics, working towards positive outcomes.
* Provide suitable solutions based on customer circumstances, such as payment plans.
Experience
* Experience working in a contact or call centre environment.
* Excellent communication skills, able to convey clearly at all levels internally and externally.
* Ability to build positive relationships and deliver high customer service standards.
* Experience dealing with vulnerable customers empathetically and supporting them appropriately.
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to challenge customers when necessary.
* Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to suggest solutions before escalation.
* Attention to detail, as all interactions must be recorded for audit purposes.
* Experience in debt management, credit control, collection activity, or telephony.
