Robert Half is partnering with a globally scaling, Hong Kong-founded tech platform revolutionising the logistics space, as they prepare for their London launch this August.
This is a foundational hire, so a rare opportunity to build the entire UK People function from the ground up as part of the founding team.
🚀 The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional HR role. You’ll be the go-to People lead in the UK, partnering closely with leadership locally and globally, while setting up the infrastructure needed to scale a high-growth business.
🧩 What You’ll Be Doing
People Ops & Build
* Set up and own all UK HR infrastructure (payroll, benefits, policies, systems)
* Ensure compliance with UK employment law, working closely with HQ in Hong Kong
* Build scalable processes to support rapid team growth
Hiring & Talent
* Lead hiring strategy end-to-end across all business areas
* Partner with leadership to define hiring plans and deliver at pace
* Build strong talent pipelines and elevate candidate experience
Business Partnering
* Act as a trusted advisor to the UK MD and leadership team
* Use data and insights to challenge and influence business decisions
* Coach managers and drive performance, engagement and team effectiveness
Culture & Launch
* Play a key role in launching and embedding company culture in London
* Drive engagement, team initiatives and local identity
* Act as the “eyes and ears” for HQ
👤 What We’re Looking For
* 8–10 years’ experience within HR, ideally in startup / scale-up environments
* Strong People Ops foundation with proven ability to build from scratch
* Experience working with global teams / overseas HQ
* Commercial, confident and comfortable challenging stakeholders
* Proactive, curious and genuinely excited by the business and mission
* Able to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
* Huge plus: Cantonese or Mandarin language skills (given close collaboration with Hong Kong HQ)
