The Opportunity
As part of the growth of the Airedale Controls Department an exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic candidate to join the team working in a BMS Commissioning Engineer role. The role will give opportunity to gain many skill sets, from BMS commissioning to cutting edge water system control and new technologies. The role offers a strong grounding to progress towards Project Management.
The Role
Responsibilities for this role include:
* Site commissioning of controls projects and system integration (BMS/Energy Monitoring/HVAC controls/upgrade works)
* Site surveys / progress reviews
* Supervise installation sub-contractors where required
* Troubleshoot site issues
* Liaise with Customers and Project Engineers.
* Customers Training
* Provide technical and engineering support where required.
* Actively work with the controls team to increase efficiency and achieve prescribed targets.
* Maintain a high standard of quality control
* Produce precise reports
* Gain, maintain and grow valuable client relationships
* Be flexible in types of work carried out.
* Be prepared to work away from home when required.
* Work overtime when required.
Required Skills & Experience
* Experience with Tridium Niagara 4 software and controllers
* Capable of understanding and modifying control strategies
* Understanding of BMS/DCIM and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP)
* Knowledge of IT systems, servers and communication networks
* Knowledge and Understanding of Ignition systems
* Competent electrical knowledge and capable of understanding electrical drawings
* Logical and methodical approach to problem solving using own initiative is a must
* Have good written & communication skills
* Team player
* CSCS or equivalent
* Can do attitude
* Attention to detail
Desirable Skills & Experience (Intensive Training will be provided for the right applicant)
* Field experience with HVAC applications/cooling/heating systems – ideally in a commissioning role
* Cooling systems knowledge
* Ability to carry out electrical modifications to HVAC systems
