English Tutor
Salary:
£25 - £35 Per hour
Job Duties:
* Provide one-on-one English language tutoring sessions
* Create customised lesson plans based on students' needs and goals
* Assist students in improving their English language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening
* Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
* Provide constructive feedback to help students improve their language proficiency
* Encourage and motivate students to achieve their language learning objectives
Required Qualifications:
* Proficiency in the English language
* Previous experience in tutoring or teaching English
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to tailor tutoring sessions to meet individual student needs
* Patience and empathy when working with students
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching English language
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of language learning principles and methodologies
* Ability to assess student proficiency levels and develop appropriate learning strategies
* Knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
* TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification
* Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
* Experience with online tutoring platforms
Working Conditions:
* Part-time, temporary position
* Flexible hours based on student availability
* May require travel to students' homes or other agreed-upon locations
* Opportunity to work with students of various ages and language proficiency levels

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
