HR Business Partner – Legal Sector
Location: Manchester (Hybrid – 4 days in office, 1 from home)

A leading, award-winning UK law firm is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join its growing and ambitious team. Known for delivering high-profile, complex work and boasting a strong national reputation, the firm is entering an exciting period of transformation and growth – and this role will be central to shaping that journey.
As HRBP, you’ll work closely with the HR Director and senior stakeholders across the firm, acting as the trusted go-to advisor for all people matters. You’ll bring a hands-on, generalist approach to a wide range of HR issues, but most critically you’ll need exceptional employee relations experience, a confident advisory style, and the ability to manage relationships with Heads of Department and Partners.
This role comes with two direct reports (HR Advisors) and will give you the opportunity to influence day-to-day operations while also thinking big-picture – whether that’s identifying areas for improvement, coaching managers through complex cases, or helping embed cultural change.

* From a legal services background, and understands the pace, expectations, and regulatory context
* A strong generalist, with a real depth of employee relations knowledge
* Able to coach, challenge, and support senior stakeholders with confidence and credibility
* Flexible, pragmatic, and solutions-focused in their approach
* Friendly, collaborative, and comfortable in a people-first, values-led culture
* Experienced in managing or mentoring others, ideally with a track record of leading small HR teams
