Location - Meadowbank Sports Centre
We are looking for a friendly, dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Accounts Advisor to join our customer service team based at Meadowbank Sports Centre.
What You'll Do:
* Respond to telephone, email, and web enquiries regarding direct debit payments and accounts in a prompt, knowledgeable, and engaging way.
* Provide a meaningful and positive experience to every customer by delivering high-quality, helpful support and service.
* Maintain the member and payment database to ensure all customer information, payment details and transaction records are up to date and properly processed.
* Ensure that all price changes and membership upgrades are accurately reflected in the system and communicated to customers in a timely manner.
* Contact customers who have outstanding payments to facilitate the collection process in a professional, empathetic and positive manner.
* Manage cancellations positively and ensuring that every member feels valued.
What You'll Bring:
* Proven customer service experience, including handling direct debits, finance systems, and proficient use of MS Office (particularly Excel and Word).
* A genuinely people-focused approach, with strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
* Outstanding listening skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities – you can convey information clearly and adapt your style to suit a diverse range of customers.
* Decisive yet fair problem-solving mindset, with the confidence to make consistent decisions and effectively organise and prioritise tasks under pressure. Solid computer literacy and confidence working with various IT systems, such as membership databases and point-of-sale (POS) software.
