Reporting directly to the leadership team, you'll be central to the company's strategic growth and operational excellence. About you Experience working within a SME environment or similar busy operation Strong understanding of accounting systems, ideally Xero Proficient in reconciliations, invoicing, credit control, and financial reporting Able to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism Good communication skills and a proactive mindset Part-qualified or qualified accountants (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) are a plus What you'll do Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, providing insightful analysis to inform decision-making Oversee debt management, credit control, and payment reconciliation to maintain healthy cash flow Process month-end invoicing and generate detailed financial reports for senior management Reconcile bank accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and up-to-date records Prepare quarterly VAT returns and support compliance requirements Support payroll processes by collating timesheets, holidays, and other relevant data Assist in cost analysis and participate in cost reduction projects to improve profitability Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to ongoing financial improvements Manage daily accounts inbox, post, and respond in a timely and accurate manner Handle invoicing, credit control, and debtor management for a range of clients and suppliers Process remittances and ensure timely payments to suppliers or customers as required Assist in general financial reporting and day-to-day transactional activities, supporting the wider finance team This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking SME during an exciting expansion phase.
