Overview
We have an opportunity for several highly motivated Health Care Support Workers to join our team initially in Medical assessment unit. We take all medical admissions for assessment, it’s a very busy area with a high turnover of patients. Apply if you want to work in with a supportive team with opportunities to widen your knowledge and develop additional skills through appropriate training. Various hours available with 23 as the minimum per week, these posts are suitable for students studying healthcare related HNC at Borders College, please state in your application if you are a student in this area.
Role and responsibilities
The successful applicant will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Band 5 nurses to deliver direct patient care under supervision and ensure patient safety is maintained by providing a high standard of nursing, whilst following NHS Borders protocols. The posts involve a shift pattern of days, nights, and weekends and require you to be flexible; the shifts are 11.5 hours (07:30 to 20:00, 19:30 to 08:00). Salary and working arrangements
Please note the salary quoted is for full-time hours (37 hrs per week). For appointments to part-time hours, the salary will be pro-rata.
