As a Locality Manager, you'll lead a team of senior practitioners, social workers, and support staff to deliver high-quality adult social care services. You'll ensure assessments, planning, and provision of care are evidence-based, person-centred, and aligned with statutory requirements. This is a strategic leadership role where you'll shape services, manage resources, and foster innovation to improve outcomes for adults in Herefordshire.
Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire teams to deliver outstanding adult social care services, influence system‑wide cultural change, and work together to achieve a joined‑up approach to operational services, creating a clear vision for the future.
* Manage budgets, resources, and performance to achieve efficiency and quality, delivering value for money services, managing risk appropriately, and improving outcomes.
* Drive service improvements and implement innovative ways of working. As part of our Community Wellbeing Directorate, you will lead initiatives that reflect our Council Plan priorities: People, Place, Growth, and Transformation.
* Act as a technical reference point for complex social care issues.
* Promote partnership working to safeguard adults and enhance wellbeing; the role is critical in building resilient communities and supporting preventative services.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding frameworks.

Qualifications
* Registered Social Worker with Social Work England and holds a qualifying degree.
* Significant post‑qualification experience with a deep understanding of current legislation and its real‑world impact.
* A track record of delivering high‑quality services and driving improvement.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to manage complex networks and partnerships.
* Effectively collaborates with external agencies to build strong partnerships.
* Holds a full, clean driving licence and is ready to explore our vibrant county.
