SCUK Data & Reporting Manager

Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey, providing motor finance to a network of car dealerships throughout the UK.
We are seeking a Data and Reporting Manager responsible for developing and maintaining standardised automated reporting processes that conform with data governance requirements across SCUK’s operations. This role ensures that business KPIs can be accurately measured by leadership and that ongoing changes are supported by meaningful data analysis.
Please note this is a hybrid role requiring at least days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered.
Responsibilities include:
1. Developing and maintaining standardised automated reporting to streamline operations and ensure data accuracy for performance tracking
2. Creating clear and engaging data visualisations for presentations
3. Managing initiatives and contributing to project deliverables through meaningful reports and complex data analysis
4. Providing rapid response services for quick business questions
5. Defining, creating, and maintaining data for ad-hoc and regular reporting and dashboards for decision-making
6. Handling large volumes of data using SAS, SQL Server, and Business Objects
7. Communicating, presenting, and influencing stakeholders at all levels
8. Creating and updating procedure guides for tools and reports
9. Ensuring data governance and compliance to maintain data accuracy
10. Adhering to Consumer Duty commitments, prioritising customer needs and standards of protection
Qualifications and skills we're looking for:
1. Extensive experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView; strong Power BI experience is a plus
2. Proven experience in a complex MI-producing role
3. Expertise in data visualisation
4. Advanced Excel skills, including VBA and complex formulas
5. Experience with SAS, SQL Server, and Business Objects
6. Strong database interrogation and programming skills
7. Understanding of data security and compliance standards
8. Experience in implementing data quality controls
9. Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
10. Technical writing skills for documentation
11. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
