About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Support Practitioner. With Turning Point Scotland, no two days are the same!
You will provide individualised support to each person, engaging them with hobbies and interests to empower independence and skill development.
About You
You should have a genuine commitment to using your skills to support people in living their best lives. Flexibility to work on a rota is essential.
You will be supported by an approachable management team, enabling you to expand your knowledge and develop new skills.
About Us – Newton Stewart
We are a residential service supporting people with mental health issues, physical health challenges, and learning disabilities. We provide 24/7 support to help individuals live fulfilling lives. Where sleepover shifts are required, you will receive an additional £100.80 per shift, on top of your £12.60 per hour.
Support Practitioner Responsibilities
* Providing individualised support to adults with diverse needs, either on a 1:1 basis or as part of a team.
* Supporting individuals within the community, engaging in hobbies and interests, and empowering them to develop skills and independence.
* Attending community groups and accompanying service users to activities such as trips to the cinema, swimming, local groups, or community projects. Supporting holidays and trips away.
* Assisting with personal care to ensure comfort and wellbeing.
* Celebrating achievements and milestones to foster a positive environment.
