Support Learning. Change Lives. We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist learning environment supporting students aged 11 to 16. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, offering secondary-age opportunities within a setting that is calm, structured and deeply committed to helping every young person succeed. The provision supports pupils with severe autism and Asperger’s, focusing on personalised learning, emotional regulation and the development of independence and life skills. Working hours are typically 8.20am to 4pm, with some weekday end times varying. Why This Setting Stands Out Purpose-built facilities designed for complex needs Small class sizes allowing meaningful one-to-one support Consistent routines that promote confidence and progress Supportive leadership and a collaborative staff team Strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and professional growth Your Role Provide one-to-one and small group support across the school day Support students with severe autism and Asperger’s to access learning Encourage communication, independence and positive behaviour Help maintain a calm, safe and structured environment Work closely with teachers and specialist staff What We’re Looking For Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN Patient, calm and adaptable approach Confidence supporting emotional and behavioural needs Driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the school’s location Commitment to full-time work and safeguarding Why Work with Teaching Personnel? Competitive rate of £13.75 per hour Weekly pay via PAYE Dedicated SEN consultant support Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
