The Opportunity
We're looking for a proactive and detail‑driven
Information Manager
to join our team. This role is central to ensuring that the information and data that support our global initiatives are accurate, secure, and effectively managed.
Based in Newcastle with the flexibility for occasional remote working, you will oversee key information management processes, develop and maintain data systems, support decision‑making across the network, and help ensure TREAT‑NMD meets its compliance and governance obligations.

What You'll Do
You will play a vital role in strengthening TREAT‑NMD's information governance and ensuring our data is managed to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:
* Managing and continually improving information management processes in line with
ISO27001
.
* Overseeing the
corporate risk register
, working closely with the CFSO to track, review, and report risks effectively.
* Ensuring our
Common Data Environment (CDE/CDW)
is developed, maintained, and fully utilised.
* Creating and managing the
Data Plan
to ensure compliance across projects, grants, and ISO requirements.
* Supporting
Project Information Exchange
, ensuring seamless flow of accurate information between internal and external stakeholders.
* Collaboratively developing and communicating project Information Standards, Methods, and Procedures with the CFSO and CTO.
* Applying a strong
security‑minded approach
to access rights, data protection, and system governance.
* Providing training and support on information management systems.
* Conducting quality control checks on project information throughout development.
* Managing the review, distribution, and exchange of project models, maintaining ISO‑aligned naming standards.
* Raising awareness of internal and legislative requirements including
UK GDPR
and the
Data Protection Act 2018
, offering guidance to ensure ongoing compliance.
* Providing assurance to the CFSO and CEO that data governance and security standards remain current and aligned with best practice.
What We're Looking For
We'd love to hear from you if you can demonstrate:
* Experience in
Project Information Management
.
* Confident communication skills, both face‑to‑face and through digital channels.
* The ability to influence diverse stakeholders and encourage ownership of risk and mitigation.
* A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and problem‑solve.
* A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., project management, data management, science) or equivalent experience.
* Experience working in a
project or PMO environment
.
* Familiarity with
Common Data Environments (CDE/CDW)
.
* Knowledge of
GDPR, ISO standards
, and information management frameworks.
* Resilience and the ability to work effectively during periods of pressure or uncertainty.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
* Proficiency in managing and maintaining databases and ensuring data accuracy.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to design efficient information management systems.
* Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, particularly with diverse global stakeholders.
* Understanding of compliance standards relating to data governance and information security.
* Experience in a
health‑related sector
(highly desirable).
* Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Healthcare Management, Data Science or a related field.
* Confidence working both independently and within a dynamic, international team.
