Overview
As the pharmacist leading our clinical dispensary service, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping a safe, efficient, and patient-centred dispensing operation. You'll mentor and support our rotational resident and trainee pharmacists, helping them grow while ensuring excellence in service delivery for both patients and clinical teams. You'll be a visible role model and a passionate advocate for our ethos of continuous improvement, inspiring those around you to strive for better every day. With your experience, you'll also work closely with the chief pharmacy technician to uphold the highest standards of Good Clinical Practice, including ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines for the supply of clinical trials, chemotherapy, and unlicensed medicines.
Main duties
* uphold a high standard of clinical practice while conducting medication reviews on your allocated ward, with opportunities to further develop your clinical expertise across a diverse range of local specialties.
* monitor and escalate any risks encountered during the delivery of pharmacy supply services, including chemotherapy and clinical trial dispensing, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance.
* act as a motivator and mentor, inspiring colleagues, supporting learners, and championing continuous improvement through service evaluation and quality improvement methodologies. Collaborate with stakeholders across all dispensary sites, pharmacy clinical leaders, and service users.
* foster an inclusive and equitable environment, embedding equity, diversity and inclusion into staffing plans, duty rotas, and development opportunities for individuals and teams.

Education
* Essential: Master\'s degree in pharmacy or equivalent
* Essential: Member of the GPhC
* Essential: Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent)
* Desirable: Appropriate short management courses
* Desirable: Diploma in Pharmacy Practice
Skills
* Essential: Good ability to organise and prioritise work
