Job Description

Challenge, support, and inspire all learners to achieve the best possible outcomes through the development and delivery of an innovative and creative curriculum. This role aims to promote, deliver, and integrate the key objectives outlined in the Education Plan and the Community Plan.


Requirements

The duties involve regulated work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a PVG Scheme member or have an existing record updated before a formal employment offer is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual

This is a temporary full-time position until 28th June 2026, based at Doon Academy, Dalmellington. Primary qualified teachers are encouraged to apply. The working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, as directed by the line manager. The salary ranges from £40,305 to £50,589 per annum.
