Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Kitchen Manager to oversee our kitchen operations in a bustling restaurant environment as we are opening a few new sites around Manchester. Training will take place at our main cafe in Ancoats.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food safety, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As the Kitchen Manager, you will ensure that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Duties
* Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, ensuring that all food preparation meets our high standards.
* Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive team environment.
* Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
* Assist in menu planning and food preparation, contributing creative ideas to enhance our offerings.
* Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, food safety practices, and equipment usage.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Handle any issues that arise in the kitchen promptly and effectively.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a kitchen management role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
* Proficiency in food preparation techniques and familiarity with various cooking methods.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on teamwork.
