Overview
Pathway is partnering with a prestigious Belfast law firm known for its exceptional reputation and high-quality legal work. They are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support a Partner and Solicitor within their busy Litigation department. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed Paralegal with strong High Court litigation experience. Exposure to property and private client matters would be advantageous. The successful candidate will join a supportive, professional team with high standards and a strong focus on client service.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Support
* Assist with the management and progression of High Court litigation files.
* Draft pleadings, correspondence, and legal documentation.
* Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries.
* Support discovery, evidence collation, and preparation of bundles for hearings and trials.
* Liaise with counsel, clients, experts, and third parties as required.
Team Support
* Provide direct support to the Partner and Solicitor, ensuring deadlines and court timetables are met.
* Maintain accurate file records, document management, and case tracking.
* Handle day-to-day client queries professionally and efficiently.
Additional Practice Support
* Assist with occasional property and private client matters as required.
* Support wider team projects and administrative duties where necessary.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in litigation, ideally at High Court level.
* Strong drafting, research, and document-preparation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a busy caseload with accuracy and organisation.
* Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, counsel, and colleagues.
* Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office.
* Professional, proactive, and detail-focused approach.
Desirable:
* Experience in property or private client work.
* Previous experience supporting a Partner or senior fee earner.
