Contract: Full or Part Time considered, Monday to Friday
Salary: Dependent on experience and banding (Band 5 – 7)
KW Therapy is seeking a full or part-time Specialist Occupational Therapist with an interest in Neurology and/or Paediatrics. Based in Chorley, KW Therapy is a small, growing company with a welcoming, dynamic, and experienced team passionate about client care. The role involves community and office work, requiring travel within and around the North West, with options for home and flexible working hours.
This position offers a manageable caseload, allowing focus on individual client needs. Candidates should be confident, friendly, and adaptable to work with clients of various ages and backgrounds, tailoring methods to meet their unique needs.
Responsibilities include conducting initial assessments of physical, cognitive, sensory, and perceptual skills in home and community settings, and preparing detailed reports from an Occupational Therapy perspective.
Rehabilitation involves developing client-centered goals and bespoke treatment plans. Occupational Therapy Assistants may support delivery. Programs may include equipment assessment and prescription, environmental adaptations, cognitive and fatigue management, and upper limb rehabilitation.
Effective communication skills are essential, including handling challenging behaviors, building rapport with clients and families, and liaising with multidisciplinary teams, including legal teams.
