What You’ll Be Doing
As a Nuclear Commissioning Project Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving our test and commissioning efforts. Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading the delivery of the test and commissioning plan.
* Supporting a talented team of nuclear mechanical commissioning engineers.
* Collaborating with the Reactor Test Group (RTG) to authorize test documentation.
* Acting as an Authorized Person in the permit to work process.
* Reviewing engineering outputs and documentation.
* Embedding learning from experience (LFE) into our processes.
Your Skills and Experiences
Essential:
* A degree, HNC, or HND in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
* A solid understanding of nuclear systems and their testing and commissioning.
* Knowledge of overall submarine systems and their operations.
* Experience in supporting and coaching diverse teams in complex environments.
* Proficiency with IT systems and software (especially Microsoft products).
* Experience in planning test and commissioning programs.
Desirable:
* Exceptional mentorship and development skills.
* Cat B Nuclear Operator or relevant nuclear industry experience (ideally from a nuclear steam raising plant).
* Experience with nuclear licensed or COMAH sites.
* Experience in embedding Learning from Experience (LFE).

The RTS Commissioning Team
In this role, you will manage a test section and all associated activities, contributing to a larger test & commissioning program that encompasses several major engineering systems. You will have the opportunity to embed LFE into the program and support the delivery process. Leading a diverse group of Commissioning Engineers, you will bring a wealth of technical skill and knowledge to a unique project that is part of a national endeavor.
