Job description
My Client is recruiting for an EICA Engineer in the Water Sector. We are looking to strengthen our engineering team with an EICA Engineer based at our Bristol office with hybrid working available.
You will report directly to the Regional Discipline Lead, and your role will be to provide high-quality Engineering Design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts.
You will coordinate the design and produce design documents and drawings, considering health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards related to the contract.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Produce design layouts that are cost-effective, meet specifications, and are feasible for construction and commissioning.
2. Ensure the use of standard practices wherever possible.
3. Provide estimates and feedback for proposals department.
4. Follow procedures and processes for the department's development.
5. Monitor and review procedures and processes.
6. Write, update, and monitor efficient procedures to facilitate department operations.
7. Coordinate designs with all disciplines internal and external to the company to ensure cohesive design processes.
8. Work within a culture focused on customer satisfaction, considering all beneficiaries of our processes.
9. Ensure designs consider environmental issues.
10. Ensure that all health and safety requirements are incorporated into designs.
About The Candidate
Essential: Experience in delivering process plant systems on complex water industry projects; understanding principles of water and sewage treatment; relevant discipline Engineering HND (preferably degree); ability to rationalize designs and produce economical layouts; flexible mindset; ability to present technical proposals clearly; C&G BS 7671 / IET Electrical Regulations 18th Ed; computer literacy.
Preferred: Experience with instrumentation, industrial communications, PLCs, SCADA systems; motor control centers, protection, motor starters including VSDs, harmonic mitigation methods.
