Job Title: Design and Development Engineer
Location: High Wycombe
Salary: GBP 30,000 : GBP 40,000 per annum
We are supporting a growing engineering and manufacturing business in High Wycombe who are looking to recruit a Design and Development Engineer with strong SolidWorks experience. This role will suit someone who enjoys both hands:on development and technical design, contributing to the full lifecycle of new and existing products.
Key Responsibilities:
: Creating high:quality 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
: Supporting the full product development cycle from concept through to production.
: Improving and updating existing product designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
: Working with cross:functional teams including production, quality, and suppliers.
: Supporting prototype builds, testing, validation, and reporting.
: Assisting in solving technical challenges and contributing innovative ideas to product improvements.
: Producing technical documentation, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
Skills and Experience Required:
: Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling, 2D detailing, assemblies).
: Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
: Experience in a design and development role within manufacturing or engineering.
: Good understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
: Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative engineering team.
: Strong problem:solving skills and attention to detail.
: Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
