About the Opportunity:
Media.Monks is looking for a strong Media Strategy & Planning leader within their EMEA footprint. This candidate will be able to dive into media and consumer research, analyze business data and objectives, and carve out unique and custom opportunities. From there, this individual will translate those insights into detailed media plans and work with teams to bring them to life.
Ideal candidates for this role have demonstrated a strong ability to write paid media strategies and tactical plans, ability in growing and developing a paid media team, demonstrated success in fiscal responsibility, and a deep understanding of the paid media landscape within digital and traditional channels alike.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deeply understand client challenges and lead cross-functional teams to help bring solutions to life.
2. Dig into culture and client problems to uncover insights and build strong media briefs.
3. Utilize media research tools and resources to influence strategic media recommendations, including but not limited to demographic data, reach & frequency, audience composition, competitive insights, and marketplace trends.
4. Establish and merchandise a strategic “north star” for media activity for assigned clients.
5. Shape the development of media plans and measurement strategies to ensure media activity is meeting client goals and objectives and driving business results.
6. Work closely with Media Analytics teams to track outcomes and pivot as necessary.
7. Works in partnership with Media Operations and Activation teams to ensure flawless execution of strategies, including appropriate financial stewardship.
8. Daily account management for assigned clients, including meetings, internal and external communication across the teams, task and timeline management, client relationships and overall business management.
9. Serve as key leader to synthesize media POVs for the region, as well as assigned clients.
10. Participate in regional growth within Media including thought leadership and pitching. Ability to assemble and present pitch materials.
11. Partner with creative teams (either internally or at client partner agencies) to translate creative territories to media executions.
Key Qualifications:
12. 10+ years of media planning and strategy experience within a paid media agency.
13. Ability to analyze complex data including audience and channel research, market and sales information, competitive reporting, and more.
14. Strong experience in digital and traditional media from strategy to execution - including a strong understanding of local marketplace dynamics.
15. Excellent presentation and storytelling ability.
16. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
17. Ability to uncover the bigger picture in media objectives and translate this to tactical execution.
18. Strong client management skills and overall attention to detail.
19. Demonstrated track record of success managing large-scale media budgets with excellent financial stewardship.
20. Strong working knowledge of critical tools, including but not limited to: Nielsen, MRI/Simmons, GWI, Pathmatics, Kantar, MediaOcean, Google Suite.
