Job Title: SEMH Teaching Assistant

Salary: £92.63–£100 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role: We are seeking dedicated and resilient SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistants to support schools in Milton Keynes. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who may face behavioural, emotional, or mental health challenges, helping them to engage positively with their education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
* Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
* Support students in managing behaviour and emotions effectively
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
* Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment
* Monitor and record student progress and behaviour
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, behavioural needs, or additional needs (preferred)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Calm, patient, and resilient nature
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Team Teach – desirable but not essential)
* Able to travel or have access to a vehicle- travel is a requirement
