Your Role
The Senior Web Developer is a member of a small, highly focused team responsible for maintaining and improving the Global Relay corporate website, including the information service website. This role provides an opportunity to work with experienced developers in London and apply your craft in an environment that encourages creative thinking and autonomy. You will be encouraged to think beyond a single component to build complete system solutions and to learn new technologies across different projects and application domains. If you are committed to clean, well-tested, well-reviewed, performant and secure code, you will fit in well. You will work closely with the marketing & design teams to translate product requirements into functioning web applications.
* Maintain and implement new features of the corporate and information service websites as part of a cross-functional, geographically distributed team
* Write unit and integration tests for your code
* Collaborate with UI & interaction designers to deliver accessible, responsive web applications with exceptional usability
* Collaborate with testers to develop test cases for JavaScript code, including accessibility and responsive usability considerations
* Collaborate with product owners on user story generation and refinement
* Provide SEO considerations and ensure high performance across multiple regions
About You
Required Experience:
* Minimum 6 years of JavaScript development using one or more UI frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, JQuery, etc)
* Minimum 6 years of HTML5 and CSS3
* Minimum 6 years of PHP
* Experience with content management systems, ideally WordPress
* Experience with test-driven development
Nice to have:
* Experience in an Agile environment
* Typescript
* Web Service API integration
* Selenium/Cypress
* Unit testing with Mocha, Jasmine/Jest, React Test
* Related web technologies like Sass/Less, AJAX and JSON
