Responsibilities
* To act as an autonomous practitioner within a specialised paediatric OT service, providing OT assessment, treatment, review and evaluation for children on the ward, in out‑patient settings and in the child's own home/school.
* To manage own caseload and be responsible for a defined area of the service, working with and without direct supervision.
* To work in partnership with other health professionals, parents, carers, education and other service providers to ensure a child centred approach to therapy.
* To carry and be responsible for a varied clinical caseload, to organise this caseload effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and time.
* To provide cover to other areas of service as necessary to support other members of the team. Occasional weekend working may be required.
* To support the senior therapists with service development, take an active role in Governance and to provide supervision and support to junior staff and students.
