Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Liverpool Location: Various roles in schools across Liverpool and Wirral Hours: Full-time Contract: Long-term placements Pay Rate: £90- £120 a day dependant on experience About the Role Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting Learning Support Assistants on behalf of a trust of schools in Liverpool and Wirral with roles available in secondary and SEN schools. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with additional learning needs and help them reach their full potential in a classroom setting. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils in line with school requirements. Support students with special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties. Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons. Implement behaviour support strategies and individual learning plans. Promote pupils’ independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. Observe and record pupil progress, reporting back to school staff. Support with personal care where required and appropriate. Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies are followed at all times. Requirements Previous experience working with children or young people (education, care, or support setting). Experience working in a UK education setting. A patient, flexible, and positive attitude. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to different school environments. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). Right to work in the UK. GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths Desirable Relevant qualifications (Teaching Assistant, Childcare, Education). Safeguarding or Team Teach training.
