Able to demonstrate extensive experience of successfully delivering complex end to end project/programme management, including defining resources, leading £multi-million procurement, securing project teams and matrix management across multiple projects/programmes an expert with up-to-date technical knowledge and skills preferably as a Chartered Project Professional (or at a minimum by holding an APM PPQ/PMQ/MSP qualification) experienced in mentoring others in the profession, and be able to show evidence of ongoing CPD in your career to date a flexible thinker and problem-solver, skilled at negotiating and building productive networks, and confident in using your expertise to influence decisions up to Executive level an excellent communicator, skilled at managing complex and challenging situations with competing interests and a diverse range of people a leader for inclusion, who finds ways to create an inclusive culture knowledge and experience of how to ensure legal and professional duties for built environment projects are discharged (including CDM and Building Safety Act) an understanding of the complexities involved in working within a sensitive conservation environment. You’ll be working as part of the National Trust Specialist Delivery Team in our London & South East region – a multidisciplinary team of flexible and deployable experts with specialist skills and experience in every field of our work. Our purpose is to deliver the Trust’s strategy by providing expertise to properties and collaborating to make things happen. As this role covers the London & South East region, your contractual place of work will be the nearest National Trust consultancy office to your home. Our hybrid working policy means you can balance office and home working with site visits and meetings at other National Trust places. We’ll talk about this in more detail at interview, but you should expect to be at a National Trust site for 40–60% of your working week. You’ll benefit from and play an active part in the Trust’s wider project management community - a network of sharing best practice and mentoring, as well as technical support and development.This role will focus on implementing Phase 1 of the Scotney Visitor Infrastructure project, whilst preparing for Phase 2 and supporting the coordination of the National Lottery Heritage Fund application for Reconnecting Scotney. You’ll oversee and coordinate the work of the Food & Beverage Project Manager and will line-manage the Reconnecting Scotney Project Manager and team. The Visitor Infrastructure project encompasses car parking, food & beverage facilities, a destination play area, office moves, a Changing Place, and the overall visitor journey. Reconnecting Scotney hopes to unlock the potential to grow further by diversifying audiences and improving access to heritage and green space. You’ll work within our Project Management Framework, ensuring strong governance, smooth communication, and effective monitoring and control. Successful completion of the project will lead to better access, improved visitor satisfaction, and growth in revenue so that we can invest in more conservation work.
