Consumer Engagement Strategist – Masterbrand & Capability
Rate: Up to £39 per hour

The Role
The Consumer Engagement Strategist for Masterbrand & Capability is responsible for defining, developing and embedding the Masterbrand strategy across the Northern Europe Hub, covering the UK and Nordic markets.
You will shape the long‑term brand direction, drive organisational pull‑through, and ensure that Masterbrand principles are consistently integrated across consumer, HCP and corporate communications.
This role is ideal for someone who combines deep consumer insight, strong brand strategy experience, cross‑functional leadership and the ability to influence teams across marketing, medical, legal, digital and creative functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop the 5‑year Masterbrand strategy for the Northern Europe Hub, aligning with global direction, identifying gaps and guiding required support.
* Lead the planning, execution and optimisation of Masterbrand campaigns, ensuring consistent integration across consumer, HCP and corporate channels.
* Partner closely with:
o Consumer, HCP and communications teams on campaign development and rollout
o Media agencies on campaign planning and amplification
o Creative agencies to localise global assets and build high‑impact local content
o Legal and regulatory teams to ensure full content compliance
o BI&A/analytics teams to define KPIs, track performance and optimise campaigns
* Build consumer‑first capability across all internal teams, introducing tools, processes and ways of working that strengthen consumer understanding and application.
* Drive cross‑functional alignment, ensuring clarity and understanding of the Masterbrand role across marketing, medical affairs, legal, digital, sales, research and external partners.
* Monitor external trends and insights in consumer behaviour, brand building and the competitive landscape, adjusting strategy as needed.
* Support long‑term brand equity development, reinforcing the strategic role of Masterbrand versus disease‑specific or product‑level branding.
Key Skills Required
* Strong passion for consumer behaviour with experience in consumer research, insight generation and turning insights into strategic action.
* Proven Masterbrand experience, including developing local brand strategies, partnering with global teams and embedding brand frameworks across an organisation.
* Expertise in campaign planning, localisation and multichannel amplification across UK and Nordic markets.
* Strong ability to lead and influence across cross‑functional teams, embedding new processes and driving adoption of brand and consumer best practices.
* Highly analytical with the ability to interpret marketing and campaign performance data to guide decision‑making and continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and inspire alignment across diverse teams.
* Resilient, adaptable and experienced in driving consumer‑focused transformation within a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications & Experience
* 10+ years’ experience in consumer marketing or brand strategy.
* Proven leadership experience with a track record of building and motivating high‑performing teams.
* Strong experience in agency partnership management (creative, media, research).
* High proficiency in marketing analytics and insight tools.
* Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
