The airport is a fast-paced and safety focussed team environment.
Responsibilities
Our Team Leaders perform a range of duties, which may include:
1. Prepare paperwork for crew including flight plans, weather reports, passenger lists and documentation.
2. Understand and deal with aircraft weight and balance calculations as required
3. Communicate aircraft fuel and load data between flight crew and load control departments.
4. Liaise with colleagues to ensure the aircraft is loaded as intended.
5. Prioritise tasks and manage the turnaround of an aircraft from arrival to departure
6. Operate air bridges and stand guidance systems
7. Develop an open feedback culture by managing the performance of employees and ensure workplace standards are maintained
8. Operate a variety of airline and Swissport computer systems and handheld devices, such as but not limited to, FSC, SMT, etc.
9. Ensure compliance with all Swissport corporate safety and security procedures in order to meet/exceed regulatory standards deliver the desired customer service experience
10. Encourage consistency and collaboration by ensuring clear communication at all levels. This will include staff briefings, shift handover meetings, one-to-ones and completion of relevant reports
11. Ensure compliance with Swissports SOPs and policies
12. Ensure maximum efficiency in the operation of inbound and outbound flights
13. Report conflict and irregularities and take appropriate action where necessary
14. Perform daily/weekly assessments
15. Conduct daily shift briefings
16. Responsible for maintenance of assigned equipment, materials and documentation
17. Contribute/assist with local emergency plans
18. Other duties as assigned
