Senior Design Engineer Role - Biggin Hill - Permanent \n\nAre you an experienced Design Engineer with a passion for aviation, innovation, and high-end cabin interiors? We're looking for a multi-skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in designing and delivering cabin modifications for commercial, VVIP, and rotary aircraft.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge interior modification projects everything from layout redesigns to environmental system upgrades all under a UK CAA Part 21J Design Organisation Approval (DOA). If you're detail-oriented, driven, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we'd love to hear from you.\n\n✈️ What You'll Be Doing:\nAs a Senior Design Engineer, you'll be creating detailed design solutions for aircraft cabin interior modifications, including:\n\nDesigning new Layouts of Passenger Accommodation (LOPA) and integrating changes such as PSUs, emergency equipment, and seating.\n\nEngineering installations for galleys, monuments, lavatories, dividers, and crew rest stations.\n\nModifying air conditioning, water/waste, and environmental systems.\n\nSupporting livery changes, emergency marking layouts, and system upgrades.\n\nCreating and managing 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and compliance documentation to support CAA approval.\n\nCollaborating closely with project managers, production teams, and customers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.\n\nAttending on-site aircraft surveys and providing installation support in the UK and overseas.\n\nProducing substantiation reports, service bulletins, testing plans, and documentation for continued airworthiness.\n\n🎯 What We're Looking For:\nQualifications & Experience:\n\nHNC/HND or degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.\n\n10+ years experience in aircraft interiors, structural/mechanical design.\n\nRecent or current experience within an EASA or CAA Part 21J Design Organisation.\n\nProven expertise with Inventor and AutoCAD.\n\nSolid understanding of aircraft materials, fasteners, fabrication, and airworthiness documentation.\n\nWorking knowledge of regulatory standards: CS-25, CS-29, EASA Part 21, FAA CFR 25, (E)TSO, etc.\n\nTechnical Skills:\n\nKnowledge of primary and secondary aircraft structures.\n\nStrong grasp of aircraft certification, compliance, and documentation.\n\nCapable of managing multiple complex projects independently.\n\n🙌 What You Bring:\nYou're a problem-solver with a high attention to detail and a commitment to quality.\n\nYou're collaborative, humble, and resilient a team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment.\n\nYou're confident communicating with customers, MROs, vendors, and regulatory bodies.\n\nYou have a can-do mindset and are always looking for smarter, more efficient ways to work
