Legal Southwest are delighted to be assisting a well-established and growing law firm in their search for a Private Client Paralegal to join their busy and expanding team in Burnham‑on‑Sea.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous Private Client experience, or a Law Graduate with a genuine interest in developing a career within this area of law, to join a supportive and forward-thinking practice.
The Role
Working closely with experienced fee earners, you will play an important role in supporting the Private Client department and ensuring the delivery of a high standard of client service.
Your duties will include:
* Preparing and reviewing legal documentation
* Liaising with clients, third parties and external organisations
* Managing and maintaining case files
* Updating client records and case management systems
* Providing general administrative support and diary management
* Acting as a first point of contact for clients
* Supporting senior fee earners with a varied caseload
* Assisting with the continued growth and development of the department

About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate:
* Previous experience within a Private Client team, ideally involving Wills, Probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney; or
* A Law Degree and a genuine desire to pursue a career in Private Client law
* Excellent communication and client care skills
* Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
* Experience using case management systems (preferred but not essential)
* The ability to work from dictation
* A proactive and professional approach to work
