The role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the busy and exciting Rehousing Service. Rehousing Officers provide a range of operational and support functions to support customers who have a housing need. Within the Lettings team your role will focus on carrying out checks on customer applications and supporting customers to find rehousing in line with our Allocations Policy.
Working within the limits of the accommodation resources available, it is not always possible to meet the accommodation aspirations of our customers; it is therefore crucial to be understanding of customers' needs whilst managing customer expectations.
You will be working in a team with skilled and experienced Officers, Specialists and Managers who will be on hand to support you.
Who we are looking for
To be successful, you will demonstrate a clear customer focus, with an ability to prioritise and organise your work. We need excellent communicators who work well on their own initiative but are also flexible team players. It is important to be resilient and hardworking, with a keenness to learn.
This role is for 1x 16 Hours per week in the Lettings Team over 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
