Class 2 Driver
Location: Irlam, M44 6BA
Shifts: Monday to Friday, starting from 6:00 AM
Pay Rate: £14.10
About the Role:
1. A well-established flooring distribution company is seeking Class 2 (CAT C) Multi-Drop Delivery Drivers to join their team in Irlam.
2. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy manual handling, including lifting, unloading carpets and flooring products, and handballing pallet goods.
3. Drivers will be responsible for delivering flooring products to retail stores and high street locations.
4. As part of the client's recycling programme Class 2 drivers can earn more through their Tube allowance scheme (paid monthly)
Key Responsibilities:
5. Driving long or short distances
6. Multi-drop between 15 to 25 drops per day
7. Maintain Good Customer service + direct client communication -
8. Lifting and carrying goods, loading, and unloading, a lot of heavy lifting
9. Making sure loads are safely secured
10. Following traffic reports and adapting routes if necessary
11. Completing delivery paperwork or Electronic App
12. Comply with Driver Hour Tacho and road Regulations
13. Drive in an efficient and economical manner
14. Carrying out daily vehicle checks (start + end of shift)
15. Report and correctly any accident or incident
Requirements:
16. A valid Class 2 (C) License and Driver CPC card.
17. A valid Digital Tachograph card.
18. Ability to lift and carry goods heavy goods
19. Experience of working within a Transport (warehouse and distribution) environment.
20. Working knowledge of distribution environment and driver's hour regulations.
