We are lookingfor an experienced Theatre Manager to join our fantastic team TheYorkshire Clinic has 5 operating theatres, and you will beresponsible for the Management and Leadership of the theatre teamto effectively implement and support quality, commercial andstrategic initiatives. This is a collaborative role, where you'llbuild strong relationships with consultants, senior teams and awide range of healthcare professionals andpatients.
As the Theatre Manager, you will havebudgetary responsibility and ensure that patient safety andoutstanding patient experience is maintained throughout thedepartment, while adhering to clinical governance and CQCstandards.

As an effective, compassionate andvisible leader you will drive the operational success of the teamclinically to promote and ensure the delivery of the highestquality patient perioperative care.
Thesuccessful candidate will have a current NMC/HCPC registration,have extensive knowledge and background of Theatre management bothclinically and commercial, strong leadership and excellentorganisational and communication skills and the ability tooperationally lead the department.
Reporting tothe Head of Clinical Services the successful candidate will ensurethe department is Safe, Effective, Responsive, Caring and Well Led,they will drive efficiency and actively ensure maximum utilisationof sessions and surgical lists. They will ensure there is a skilledknowledgeable workforce that can deliver the activity safely andefficiently.
EssentialCriteria:
* ODP level 3 /Registered Nurse
* Qualified practitioner andcurrent registration with NMC orHCPC
* Experience in a theatre manager or deputymanager’s role.
* Experience in management oflist utilisation, activity and efficient staffresource.
* Commercial and financial knowledge ofhealthcare activities.
* Experience of businessand activity growth
* Academic and analytical inreport writing
* Previous experience of linemanaging clinical departments
* Proven experienceworking in a leadership role
* Organisationalskills and ability to prioritise and delegate workload effectivelyand respond to the needs of the department and thehospital
* Experience in clinical governancewithin the perioperative setting
* Changemanagement skills
* Excellent ITskills
Experience/evidenceof:
A strong clinical background intheatre areas from acute and or independent private hospitalsettings
A proven track record and evidence ofsuccessfully delivering a change agenda to enhance quality andefficiency
* Innovation in clinicalpractice
* Policydevelopment
* On-going professionaldevelopment
* Ability toself-direct/self-motivate, make decisions and generateideas
* Well-developed understanding of researchand development and clinical effectiveness approaches tocare
