Overview
We are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our team in a permanent role. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in precision engineering inspection, who is confident using both handheld measuring tools and CMM machines. The position is based in Chorley.
Responsibilities
* Performing first-off, in-process, and final inspection of machined components
* Interpreting and inspecting parts against engineering drawings and specifications
* Using handheld inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges
* Operating and programming CMM machines (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
* Accurately recording inspection results and reporting non-conformances
* Supporting continuous improvement and quality control processes
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Quality Inspector within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of technical drawings and tolerances
* Skilled in using manual measuring equipment and CMM operation/programming
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
