To support our progress, we are currently recruiting for a Production/Clay Prep Operative to join our team at our Parkhouse factory in Newcastle-under-Lyme, ST5 7RZ.
Key responsibilities:
1. Take ownership of the role
2. Clean machinery and plant hands-on
3. Prioritize your workload effectively
4. Operate mobile plant as required
5. Grease and oil production equipment
6. Adhere to health & safety, quality, and environmental systems
7. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and continuous improvement
8. Assist with production tasks when needed
9. Maintain high standards of 5S housekeeping and environmental management
10. Assist in developing SSOPs and Risk Assessments
Essential qualifications & experience:
* Excellent timekeeping, attendance, and flexibility
* Self-motivated with a team working attitude
* Numerate and literate
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team
* Strong communication skills
* High health & safety awareness
* Willingness to undergo further training and development
* Experience in a labour-intensive role
Desirable qualifications & experience:
* Experience in a continuous improvement environment
* Counterbalance FLT certification (advantageous)
* Knowledge of clay preparation (advantageous)
