Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > SERV OFS - Electrical Operations
Part of Operations Development, Electrical Operations NCE is an agile department that works closely with all operational stakeholders. The primary responsibility is maintaining WTSR standards and enforcing Safe System of Work practices within the offshore NCE region to ensure personnel safety remains the highest priority.
Responsibilities
* Follow, understand, advise, and implement local procedures on Control of Hazardous Energy / Electrical Safety standards.
* Liaise with Platform Management and relevant stakeholders on technical, process, and legislative issues, ensuring timescales are met.
* Support the implementation of new procedures and ensure all personnel are properly trained and inducted.
* Deliver initial and refresher operational training to maintain high standards in WTSR implementation.
* Work within various subgroups (RUK/CoHE), raising issues and acting accordingly.
* Support documentation and record-keeping related to the Electrical Safety program.
* Provide technical support to Site Management, Supervisors, and technicians on safety and operational issues.
Qualifications
* Electrical or Mechanical education such as HNC Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, NVQ Level 4, C&G diploma, or relevant experience.
* Knowledge of EN 50110-1, EAWR, and other European standards applicable to the region.
* Wind industry technical and operational experience with Vestas turbines is desirable.
* At least three years of practical electrical safety experience.
* Good knowledge of WTSR, HV Safety Rules, and similar Safe Systems of Work.
* Experience as an Authorized Technician (WTSR) or Authorising Engineer.
* Experience with Authorization Panel.
