As we continue to bring to life award-winning venues and experiences our EMEA Practice is looking for a Content Manager based in our Putney studio. About the Role As part of the Populous EMEA business development team, based in London, the Content Writer / Content Manager is responsible for writing, editing, updating and repurposing content and collateral for the Populous EMEA region. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the role will support new business activity and proposals by drafting bespoke content for capability statements, project case studies and CVs, ensuring this content is centrally accessible, and regularly reviewed. They will work as part of a content team comprising a content coordinator and content assistant, but will be the primary person responsible for all written aspects of content and copy. They will also work closely with the Bids and Proposals team and graphic design team, to deliver high quality case studies and other content for submissions, presentations and pursuits. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, organised and creative, with excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills. They will also draw on a host of interviewing techniques to capture content from architectural and technical teams who may not be as comfortable with drafting copy. Relevant experience in the architectural industry is a distinct advantage, and the ability to produce precise, engaging copy under deadline and work across multiple projects simultaneously is a necessity. Key responsibilities include: Copywriting and copyediting – ensuring all content and collateral is well-written, targeted to its specific audience, of consistent quality and developed in a timely manner. Acting as an “internal journalist” – utilising interviewing techniques to extract and draft content and key messages from technical teams. Responding to and coordinating requests from the business for standard and bespoke content. Identifying SMEs and future content needs of the business, working alongside the Head of Business Development to identify areas of focus or opportunity. Managing best practice processes for the creation, coordination and management of content, including CVs, case studies, capability statements and other copy as required. Content coordination and organisation – maintaining existing copy and documents across different digital formats, with clear timelines for refreshing and development new content. Collaboration with global teams on the development of standard templates, approaches to collateral, the centralised OpenAsset system and other content-related initiatives. Key requirements include: Copywriting, Proofreading and editing Interviewing skills (utilising a journalistic approach to uncover content and stories from technical teams) Project management and maintenance of collateral systems. Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines Customer service mentality in addressing and responding to internal stakeholders. Ability to convey win themes and target content for specific purposes. Strong attention to detail, particularly with grammar and spelling. Solid team working ethic and stakeholder communication skills. Ability to set clear goals for content production and communicate progress against target to board level.
