Engineering Manager
Summary
A leading civils infrastructure contractor are looking to expand their Technical Services team with a skilled and enthusiastic Engineering Manager
Based in, Head Office in Swindon, Wiltshire and working on a variety of complex infrastructure projects across Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for supporting project delivery teams, managing engineering functions, and ensuring deliverables meet the required standards.
The role will require you to provide engineering support to the nominated Sectors / Projects, serving both the work winning and project delivery teams with the following key objectives.
- Leading the engineering function across nominated projects and sectors, supporting both bid and delivery teams.
- Providing technical assurance across design, construction, and handover while managing engineering risk.
- Driving innovation and best-value engineering solutions through design, methods, and technology.
- Providing technical leadership on bids, tenders, and client engagements.
Developing engineering teams and promoting the companies standards, values, and culture.
Engineering Manager Role Specification
- Must be a Chartered Engineer (or equivalent) with a Relevant professional body Ie. ICE or IStructE
- Substantial experience across both design and construction on major civil engineering projects.
- Strong leadership experience managing engineering teams and design managers.
- Proven ability to provide technical assurance and risk management on complex projects.
- In-depth understanding of Principal Designer duties, including ERIC.
- Ability to deputise for the Project Manager when required.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience on major heavy civils projects for National Grid, Hinkley Point C, Sellafield or similar would be highly desirable
Package & Perks:
Salary between £85,000-£110,000 negotiable dependant on expertise plus package including a car Allowance of £6,325, a competitive benefits package and long-term career development opportunities.
