Based in Bromborough, Teledyne CML Composites is a fast growing manufacturer, supplying Carbon/Glass Fibre Composite Parts and Assemblies to some of the world’s leading aircraft and Aero-Engine producers. Operating across three distinct product groups namely commercial, defence and business jet products, this role is an opportunity to join an experienced Engineering team putting the finishing touches to our highly technical products.
The manufacturing facility houses some of the most advanced Composites Manufacturing Technology in Europe, such as a state of the art Cleanroom & Autoclaves, 14 Axis Dual-Robot NDT Machine, Automated Inspection and 5-Axis CNC Machining Centres. What you'll be involved in:
Reporting to the Engineering & NPI Manager, this is a role for a knowledgeable Manufacturing Engineer with Composites Experience, ideally with knowledge of Cleanroom operations, best practices and improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Composite Manufacturing improvements, including identifying & delivering future Composite Cleanroom development projects.
2. Being involved in developing processes for new and upcoming programmes for key aerospace and defence customers
3. Assist in the development of future processes to enable the continued growth of the Teledyne CML Manufacturing Capabilities
4. Aid and advise Cleanroom staff on best practices and principles.
5. You will be at the forefront of Manufacturing Change Management to aid in future proofing the Composites business.
6. Internal Customer/Supplier interface on specific projects.
7. Assisting the Engineering & NPI Manager in developing current and future capability models
8. Be responsible for the well-being and Health & Safety of yourself and fellow workers.
What we're looking for in you:
9. Experienced Composite professional, demonstrable knowledge of Pre-Preg / Autoclave Cure and other Techniques.
10. Ideally have experience of training/developing/mentoring of junior colleagues within Composites Manufacturing.
11. Experience of working with and aiding in the development of Composites Manufacturing processes
12. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles and tools.
