Class 2 Driver - Plant & Access (32T Beavertail) Location: Openshaw Salary: £38,000 per annum We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 2 Driver to join a rapidly expanding transport operation. This role will primarily focus on plant and access deliveries using a 32T beavertail vehicle, with some crossover onto curtainsider work when required. This is a same-day delivery environment, so strong time management, clear communication, and a professional attitude are essential. The Role Carrying out deliveries and collections to and from various business premises Operating a 32T beavertail vehicle for plant and access equipment Occasional curtainsider work when required Completing all delivery and collection documentation accurately Verifying loads and following precise delivery instructions Ensuring goods are loaded and secured safely Driving safely at all times in line with road traffic regulations Communicating clearly with line management regarding delays or incidents Completing regular vehicle inspections Reporting any mechanical issues or defects Maintaining a clean and presentable vehicle Comfortable working in heavy traffic and unsociable hours when required Key Skills & Experience Valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) licence (no more than 3 points) Valid CPC and medical IPAF certification (in-date preferred) Previous Class 2 driving experience (essential) Experience loading/unloading plant or access equipment Confident using GPS and routing software Strong communication and customer service skills Calm and professional under pressure Takes pride in their work and presentation IPAF: Candidates with IPAF already in date are highly desirable. However, we are happy to fund an IPAF refresher for the right candidate.
