Responsibilities
* To be responsible for providing general kitchen duties and serving of food and beverages, to ensure the effective and efficient operation of college catering services.
* Work as part of the Catering Team and with members of the catering team to maintain high standards of service for all clients.
* Assist in ensuring good customer service for all staff and students.
* Assist in the kitchens, counters, laundry, and other associated areas; general food preparation and cooking.
* Washing up and general cleaning within the department.
* Ensure all items are packaged and labelled with correct allergen and date information.
* Assist with hospitality functions throughout the campus and with laundry duties if required.
* Assist in Willow & Lime Tree Coffee Shop: set up, serve customers, and clean down tables and counters; prepare the service area and equipment; leave outlets clean and tidy for the next session.
* Use tills, credit card machines and handle money.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Good level of general secondary education.
* Commitment to keeping professional knowledge up to date and improving capabilities.
* Willingness to formally record learning to show development of skills.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety, working in a safe manner for yourself and others.
* Knowledge of Food Safety Laws and allergens; willingness to undertake training.
